Subspace Horizon

SINGLEPLAYER · SPACE SANDBOX

Space combat. Trading. Your course into the unknown.

Explore the sector

YOUR SHIP. YOUR HORIZON.

Subspace Horizon is a single-player space sandbox combining direct top-down combat with space-sim systems, exploration, trading and in-depth ship fitting.

Distant nebulae glow beyond your cockpit. Behind you, the guns are cooling. Between the next wormhole and the last safe hangar lie dangerous flights, valuable cargo and stories that begin at Jax’s bar. Fit your ship, choose your course and dare to make the next jump.

The game is in development. RPG progression and strategic fleet building are part of the planned scope. Deeper economy, station and empire systems with RTS and 4X elements are long-term design goals.

Space combat with impact

Pilot your ship directly through battles with fighters and large carriers. Lasers, plasma projectiles, missiles and point defense test shields and hulls while drawing on power and heat budgets.

Your ship, your loadout

Drag owned weapons and modules from base storage or cargo onto compatible slots. Valid slots light up as you drag. Reactors, shields, armor, thrusters, CPUs, sensors and utilities have their own mounting positions.

Five resistance groups

Energy / heat, kinetic, explosive, EMP and corrosive damage form the five consolidated hull resistance groups. Compare them in the hangar and shipyard technical data. Shields absorb hits and also react to collisions.

Plan your next jump

Explore the star and universe maps, select destinations and set waypoints. Planets, colorful nebulae and wormholes shape the sectors. Keep an eye on your hydrogen and quantum fuel supplies.

Trade and station services

Buy and sell goods, manage available cargo space and prepare your ship in the hangar for its next sortie. Stored equipment and trade goods share the same cargo capacity.

A conversation with Jax

Find contacts, conversation topics and offers in the cantina. Visit Jax, collect clues in your notebook and keep track of assignments in the mission journal.

FACTIONS & THEIR WORLDS

The concept catalog covers 14 species and factions. This selection offers a look at their visual direction and lore. The special abilities described here are concepts and are not all implemented in the current game.

The Xylor Hive Mind

Organic Hive Organism / Biomechanical Symbiosis

Segmented, pitch-black chitin armor shimmers with purple and green iridescence. The Xylor are relentless, cannot be negotiated with, and move freely through the vacuum of space. Their ships are living organisms with pulsating biological engines and deadly acid glands that bypass enemy shields and dissolve armor in seconds.

WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON

A connected gameplay loop

Flight and combat, hangar, shipyard, trading, crew, cantina dialogue, mission journal, star map and universe map. The title screen uses separate artwork layers and an animated spiral nebula.

Clearer systems, better fitting

Color-coded module positions in the editor, icon drag-and-drop in fitting, five clearly named resistance groups and consistent Solid-Cut icons with a holographic hover glow. Work also continues on balancing, performance and German and English interface text.

From pilot to fleet commander

Planned origins, abilities and consequential faction choices will bring RPG elements and a personal identity to your journey through the space sandbox.

The long-term vision connects strategic fleet building with station management and a deeper economy. RTS and 4X elements are intended to expand your options; they are not yet a fully playable feature set.

The next horizon is still taking shape.

Subspace Horizon is in development. A release date and a confirmed Steam store link are not yet available here. Any Early Access plans and timing will be announced separately.

The screenshots shown do not guarantee unchanged content, stats or final system requirements.
